Base of Thumb Arthritis is a condition that is caused by wear and tear of the joint at the base of the thumb. The symptoms may include pain at the base of the thumb, difficulty opening jars, turning a key, buttoning shirts. Symptoms come and go, but the condition progressively worsens.
